Barcelona is hosting what FNAC calls a photomarathon on October 12. Information is here (in Spanish). Though called a photomarathon, the rules seemingly mention only one theme, or perhaps that’s a muckup of Google Translate.

Sponsored by FNAC and, so it seems ASUS, Sandisk and several camera brands, this appears to be an obvious event not to miss. Even if it turns out not to be a photomarathon.

As in previous years, Canon is sponsoring what they call a photomarathon in south east Asia, this time in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, both in Vietnam. Hanoi is set for the 11th of September, HCMC for the 18th.

It’s only three themes, so Canon actually calling these events photomarathons is rather cheeky. On the other hand, they tend to make quite the happenings out of it.

More info here.

They only give participants five themes, though, so it’s only barely a marathon, if at all.

The lovely city of Nice is doing a 12 hour, 12 themes, 12 photos photomarathon on the 25th of September. More info here (in French).
